Fourways Life Hospital

Whitespace Service, in collaboration with Flatfoot Engineering, embarked on a comprehensive project at Life Hospital Fourways aimed at revitalizing their Theatre Air Handling Units (AHUs).

The primary focus of the project encompassed mechanical repairs, controls, and Building Management System (BMS) enhancements.

To ensure mechanical integrity and adherence to safety standards, each Theatre Air Handling Unit underwent a meticulous examination.

Mechanical stability was meticulously evaluated, and any necessary repairs or replacements were promptly executed to bring the units up to par with safety regulations.

In tandem with the mechanical upgrades, the electrical panels and control systems underwent a complete overhaul. Outdated models and components were replaced with state-of-the-art alternatives, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability for the revamped Air Handling Units.

Life Hospital Roseacres

Whitespace Service, in collaboration with Flatfoot Engineering, was entrusted with the crucial task of enhancing the environmental conditions within the NNICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) ward at Life Roseacres Hospital by installing a cutting-edge Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) rooftop unit.

The decision to replace the existing unit stemmed from its dire condition, marked by inefficiency and an inability to adequately supply the ward with essential airflow, heating and cooling. This deficiency not only compromised the comfort of the ward but also posed significant health risks due to insufficient air changes, thereby jeopardizing the maintenance of optimal indoor air quality.

In response to these challenges, our collaborative effort focused on deploying a state-of-the-art VRV Rooftop Unit, meticulously engineered to address the specific requirements of the NNICU ward. This advanced system not only ensures superior efficiency but also delivers precise control over airflow, heating, and cooling, thereby guaranteeing an optimal environment conducive to the well-being of the patients and staff alike. Moreover, recognizing the critical importance of air quality in healthcare settings, particular attention was devoted to enhancing ventilation within the space. By implementing strategic design considerations and leveraging innovative technologies, we have significantly improved the airflow dynamics, thereby mitigating the risks associated with stagnant air and ensuring a continuous supply of fresh, clean air throughout the NNICU ward.

Medupi Power Station

Whitespace Service (WSS) is proud to highlight our successful collaboration with Enviroware at Medupi Power Station, where our pivotal role focused on commissioning and ensuring the functionality and operation of the Mechanical HVAC Controls in all six Condensation Water Processing Plants (CPP) buildings.

Our dedicated efforts in assessing and enhancing the state of the plants surpassed industry standards. The meticulous commissioning process not only met but exceeded the expectations set by the client. The turnaround for completion was particularly noteworthy, earning positive acclaim and reflecting our commitment to delivering results in a timely and efficient manner.
